Last week’s Bio Founder GPS conversation took place in a VERY serious biotech setting.
By which I mean: a children’s room, with bright colors, squishy toys, and surrounded by Jenga blocks.
That was actually fitting.
My guest, Krishna Dave, built a platform around a simple but powerful concept: science can still be serious without talking about it in the most serious and inaccessible way possible.
Krishna operates two B2B businesses in the nutraceutical space, including a functional mushroom company, and has spent much of the past year building Life Science India - creating short-form content about life sciences, careers, startups, and the growing ecosystem in India.
She also spent roughly nine years in the U.S. before returning to India, and still splits her time between the two continents, so she's literally building bridges between the two ecosystems as we speak.
This was a rapid-fire conversation where we covered a LOT of ground.
Through the conversation, two themes stood out to me:
The U.S. and Indian life sciences ecosystems have very different strengths - and there may be much more opportunity to connect them than most founders realize.
Bio founders dramatically overcomplicate content creation. You do not need to reveal your IP, post company news every week, or become an influencer to build an audience around the problem you are solving.
