Hey {{first_name|default:there}}, itโ€™s Vadim ๐Ÿ‘‹

For those of you who know me personally, you know this is something Iโ€™ve been talking about for a LONG time.

Since starting Bench2Bio over 2 years ago, I felt like there should be a place where we pull back the curtain on how investors evaluate companies, how strategics decide to partner, and on all the technical pieces of getting a science-driven company from 0 to 1.

From the beginning, my mission has been to demystify and democratize that knowledge, and this newsletter was my first step on that journey.

But I know that frameworks are only half the picture. The other half is hearing directly from the people on the other side of the table on what's happening in our industry today, who can provide tactical advice that you can put to use right away.

This is the gap that I want Bio Founder GPS Podcast to fill.

For my very first conversation, I couldn't think of a better guest than Julie Wolf, Partner at 2048 Ventures.

As a scientist by training, Julie has made the journey from the lab to being a founder, helping launch IndieBio in NYC, and now invests in pre-seed and seed companies at 2048 VC.

This was a wide-ranging conversation, offering a unqiue perspective on many topics that I know are near and dear for our community.

๐Ÿงญ HEREโ€™S WHAT WE COVERED:

  • Behind the scenes of 2048 VC oversubscribed Fund III and Pre-Seed Fast Track

  • How 2048 Ventures evaluates companies and the two questions every pitch deck needs to answer

  • What founder-market fit actually looks like at pre-seed

  • How to run an effective fundraising process

  • And much more
