Hey {{first_name|default:there}}, it’s Vadim 👋

To be honest, the past 2 weeks have been a bit of a blur.

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the Yale Innovation Summit (highly recommend!), and this week was NY Tech Week, which surprisingly to me, had no shortage of biotech and healthcare events.

All capped by Friday’s Knicks win over the San Antonio Spurs, giving them a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals, and leading to an outpouring of people across the five boroughs and adding an electric finish to an already high-octane week.

(Anyone else here remember the last time the Knicks went to the finals? Now I really feel my age showing 🙂)

In any case, the reason I mention all this, is that these events reminded me of the power of showing up in person.

Both weeks I had the privilege of not just meeting founders, but also watching them present in live pitch competitions - first at Yale, then at 2048 Ventures Healthcare and Vertical AI tracks.

And both experiences reminded me of the do’s, and the don’ts of pitching in person - whether the slide design, the cadence, or the delivery.

That’s what we’ll focus on today.

🧭 HERE’S WHAT WE’LL COVER:

  • Why the live pitch is the hardest format in all of fundraising

  • Two frameworks you can use - one for presenting in person, and one for designing your slides for live presentations

  • A checklist you can run before you walk on the stage

  • And more!

By the way:

Are you raising soon, or do you feel your deck is not as sharp as it can be?

Next Tuesday I'm running a free, live workshop: Build a Pitch Deck That Beats the AI Screen and Wins the Room. It's everything we're getting into today about winning the room - plus the other half: getting past the AI screen that now reads your deck before a human ever does.

🗓️ Tuesday, June 16 - 12pm ET - live on Zoom.

Those that attend live will also get a copy of the slides, two AI tools to help with your pitch deck review, and other fun resources.

OK, now, let's dive in!
